Head of Safety Assurance

This leading multinational industrial group, with over 100,000 employees worldwide, is looking for a Head of Safety Assurance in order to oversee audits to provide assurance to the Board that the group has effectively implemented their Process Safety Management and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Standards across their diverse manufacturing facilities across the region.
 
By critically evaluating site controls and corporate frameworks, you will ensure our safety measures are robust, effectively designed, and operating at peak performance.
 
In this highly visible role, you will develop and build the  Health and Safety audit approach for the region  and scale the audit methodology aligned with ISO 45001 and IIA standards, while acting as the regional subject matter expert for senior management.

Your expertise will drive the formulation and execution of a risk-based audit plan. As such, you will develop and maintain a regular reporting to key stakeholders at Site and partner with Regional Heads to communicate critical health and safety insights directly to all levels of management.

You will also have overall responsibility for developing training programs for corporate audit on safety management issues as well as leading corporate audits on PSM and OHS audits.
Leadership is central to this position. You will direct teams comprising internal resources and external technical experts to ensure flawless execution of the plan.
 
Given the nature of this role, we are looking for a highly experienced Health & Safety expert who has several years working in audit.

Candidates may well have a number of years’ experience working with manufacturing, energy, mining, chemical or related sectors ideally with a certification such as ISO 45001.
 
Fluency in English is essential for this international group, while skills in additional languages will give you a distinct advantage.

We are seeking a master organizer and time manager who can seamlessly pivot between collaborative teamwork and independent execution. 

This role demands high flexibility spending time on-site across the operations.
