This policy describes how RecSel International Ltd protects and makes use of the information you give the company when you use this website.  How we collect, use and process your personal data, whether we are in the process of helping you find a job, continuing our relationship with you once we have found you a role, providing you with a service, receiving a service from you or if you are visiting our website.

It applies to all employees, workers, contractors, candidates and individuals at clients or potential clients of ours.

What kind of information do we collect?

Depending on the circumstances, we may collect some or all of the information listed below to enable us to offer you employment opportunities tailored to your circumstances and interests.

This may include: your name,  contact numbers, email addresses, curriculum vitae, photograph, education details, employment history, links to your professional profiles available in the public domain e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook), immigration status, social security number, referee details, details about your current remuneration, pensions and benefits arrangements. In addition, you may choose to share other information with us that you think is relevant.

How may your personal information be collected?

We may collect personal information about employees, workers, contactors, candidates and individuals at clients or potential clients of ours in a number of different ways. This includes through an application and recruitment process, either directly from candidates or sometimes from another employment agency, employment business or background check provider. We may sometimes collect information from third parties including former employers, credit reference agencies or other background check agencies. Individuals at clients may provide us with their contact details as part of a discussion about our services.

We may also collect personal data which is publicly available on websites such as jobs boards, LinkedIn, or similar recruitment-related websites. We may use third-party applications which source their data from publicly-available websites.

We may collect additional personal information in the course of job-related activities throughout the period of you working for us or where you undertake a placement.

Our Legitimate Business Interests

Our legitimate interests in collecting and retaining your personal data are described below:

  • In order to support our Candidates’ career aspirations and our Clients’ resourcing needs we require a database of Candidate and Client personal data containing historical information as well as current resourcing requirements.
  • As a recruitment business and recruitment agency we introduce Candidates to Clients for permanent employment, temporary worker placements or independent professional contracts.  The exchange of personal data of our Candidates and our Client contacts is a fundamental, essential part of this process.
  • We think that it is reasonable to expect that if you are looking for employment or have posted your professional background and information on a job board or professional networking site which allows the public (including recruiters) to view your information - that you are happy for us to collect and otherwise use your personal data to offer or provide our recruitment services to you, assess your skills against our bank of vacancies and, with your consent, share that information with prospective employers.
  • Once an offer of a role is made to a Candidate, your prospective employer may also want to double check any information you've given us (such as the results from psychometric evaluations or confirm your references, qualifications and criminal record) to the extent that this is appropriate and necessary for the role.

Security

It is important to be aware that unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our website; any transmission is at your own risk.

Once we have received your information, we are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

How we use cookies

Controlling your personal information

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal information which involves confirming with us whether we are processing your personal data and if we are, to request access to that personal data including the categories of personal data processed, the purpose of the processing and the recipients or categories of recipients. We do have to take into account the interests of others though, so this is not an absolute right.
  • Request correction of the personal information that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.
  • Request erasure of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal information where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal information where you have exercised your right to object to processing.

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

  • Whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by anybody for us to email you with newsletters etc
