Our client, a famous logistics company, based in Hamburg is looking for a Business Innovation Director to join their corporate office in Hamburg. 


The Group Business Innovation Director is an exciting and senior position that will play a key role in working together with the top management of the company to drive the transformation agenda of the brand. She or he will drive the design, implementation and delivery of the Transformation Program.


The person will be highly motivated to influence decision-making at all levels and support the adoption of new sale models, operational processes, performance management systems and changes in culture required to sustain growth and improve profitability. 


The job location is Hamburg, but the person will be seconded to Genoa (Italy) for the first 12/24 months to be fully dedicated to the Program.   


The Group Business Innovation Director will report to the SVP Chief Strategy Officer.  


The core responsibilities of the role will be to: 


-Lead the transformation program and agenda to drive the business model evolution with the goal of generating additional demand, improving the sales model effectiveness, increasing yield and the optimizing costs.   


-Partner with the executives’ team and the global consulting firm in identifying new, transformational opportunities that support our strategy. 


-Scope and structure the teamwork streams, deliverables, timelines, and key milestones consistent with the Transformation Agenda. 


-Provide direction to the Transformation Program team and work streams’ owners to enable timely and effective delivery against agreed milestones. 


-Design and manage program governance to achieve coherent decision-making, effective risk management and delivery of transformation initiatives into business. 


-Oversee the program progress against agreed: (i) milestones, (ii) targets both financial and operational, reporting to the Transformation Steering Committee. 


-Facilitate the development and implementation of the business transition plan to achieve future state stability, whilst minimizing risk to current operations and commercials objectives. 


-Promote new thinking, creative solutions, models and ways of working to effectively drive the business transformation. 


-Initiate and facilitate deep dive reviews of streams at risk to identify and address issues that can jeopardize the achievement of the transformation goals. 


-Review strategic direction at regular intervals and propose corrective actions where appropriate.


To apply for the position, you will need to benefit from 10 years of experience in global management consulting, leading multiple teams and workstreams, or experience in Private Equity portfolio management.


Significant experience in developing and implementing complex and large-scale transformational programs in a senior leadership role, working in collaboration with other strategic and senior stakeholders.
